Thanks to the involvement of many members from different parts of Italy and thanks to the collaboration of different institutions, many activities have been realized. We focused mainly on three goals: share knowledge, build capacity and support practices.
Many activities are in progress or under construction thanks to members’ suggestions and proposals, or to external requests for collaboration.
The “internal” activities regard the debate and exchange between the members and consist mainly in workshops (numerous workshops organised) aiming the creation of a common platform for exchanging ideas and encouraging intersections and crosscutting perspectives.
These moments are also occasion for the members to find collaborations on specific projects and to give back responses on activities carried out as REsilienceLAB. Knowledge sharing is also realized “outside” the network in a constant connection to national and international institutions and associations in the participation to conferences, meetings, seminars and in the organization of events.
Capacity building is one of the most relevant aims of REsilienceLAB. All the activities are open and we try to spread the news as much as possible using our constantly growing mailing list and the website, a platform where all the materials produced (slides, reports, …) are made available to the open-access.
A strong collaboration with CARIPLO Foundation has been established starting from their will to be effective in supporting resilience initiative not only from the financial point of view. The Resilience Practices Observatory project aims to strengthen and disseminate resilience practices so that they can contribute to increasing the resilience capacity of complex territorial and urban systems.
